The main focus today was to use different phrases to disagree with someone else's opinion and phrases to elicit the opinions of others.
Key Functions
- asking other's for their opinion
- simple openings that add extra weight to your opinion e.g. personally, obviously, frankly etc.
- diplomatic language to express disagreement
- making positive suggestions
We will look at more diplomatic ways to express disagreement and make positive suggestions when we do the role play meeting simulations. For review please refer to the following sections -

N and M to think of one key statement and be prepared to dicuss it in class and defend their position strongly. Others will have to disagree.
